Working with Neale has been both a pleasure and enlighting experince. Neale has massive amout of knowledge as well as his own unique stlye of grappling. He has proven to make people better and produce winner's. Neale's focus on Jiu-Jitsu, in all aspects, is unmatched by anyone I know. Anu Academy is simply the best place to train if your looking to getting better in grappling and not the same cookie cutter BJJ instruction. Anu Academy along with Neale really corner's the market as far as cross traing goes; seeking out only the best instructors in the area. Simply put if you are not traing at Anu Academy then you are a step behind.

I have had the privilege of training with Neale back when we used to wear the gi. That was some time ago and fortunately for me, I've also had the unique opportunity to be a part of the transition from those days into what is now Anu Academy. It truly is a special insight that I've gained watching Neale cultivate a new school and curriculum from the ground up. Under his direction, Anu Academy has become THE place to train no-gi jiu jitsu in the tri-state area and I'm very thankful for that. His quest for the best instruction has benefitted each and every one of us in more ways than anyone could understand. Neale's dedication and passion for the sport is evident in his teaching methods where he shows his unique ability to pass on information in a way that anyone can understand it and feel good about what they are learning. Through the years I have instructed myself. I have wrestled ever since I can remember and thought of jiu jitsu as an extension of wrestling. I didn't think I knew it all, in fact I was always wanting to go train somewhere that fit my style. I knew it was not in a gi. I have had many opportunities to train a a few jiu jitsu gyms including Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. I have not felt like any of those places offered me what I was looking for. I like how Neale takes the time to show each technique so we can see it is done correctly. I also like how we drill the same technique numerous times because you can not move forward until you have confidence in each technique.

I would recommend Neale to anyone for ju-jitsu instruction and even as a personal trainer. He has the drive and commitment to keep hiself in shape, by working out every day. When he teaches classes Neale takes the time to show you the little things that might happen when you dont do a move correctly. Then as he shows you that move he gives you a brief preview of all the things that could happen if you dont do it right. Overall in my 4 months of learning from Neale i have learned alot and continue to learn everytime we hit the mat.
